I LOVE this camera, It takes AWESOME Pictures and is very easy to use. Problems: The only problem I had was the door for the batteries broke and it was going to cost me more to fix it than the camera is worth now. After viewing the way the door hocked up by 2 little tiny plastic hooks I think it could be made better here.

Bought mine in early 2001 and it's been a buddy eversince, realiable and exceeds expected results. Photographs are always great especially during my travels. I will continue to keep it even if I get a replacement with better features. :) Problems: With age, it has become a bulky camera compared to the newbies...

I've had this camera for 3 and half years now and taken 1000's of photos. Outdoor image quality is excellent, although typically a bit on the dark side (easy to fix with editing software). Battery life on a set of 4 Costco alkalines is decent; I get 150-250 shots per set, mostly outdoors, flash-less photography. I rarely use the LCD. All in all, I'm very satisfied with this camera Problems: Construction is a mixed bag - the improtant stuff (i.e., the stuff that lets the camera be ...

I am very pleased with this camera, which I have had for nearly three years. It does what I need it it to do perfectly. It is very simple, takes good quality images and has an excellent battery life using NiMH rechargeables. I use the camera for work in some dirty and dusty places and it has continued to work faultlessly. It is big, clunky and doesn't have any fancy features, but it does the basic things well. The LCD image quality is poor and hard to use in bright light. I don't use the LCD ...

This is my second digicam and in some ways an extension of my first one (Fuji FP 1400). I have found it to out-perform what its specifications show. It has taken some very good night shots without flash. I take a lot of landscapes, but I print only up to 8.5" X 11" photos. The flash range is somewhat limited (not more than most point and shoot cameras). It is even tough, surviving my wife's fall on the sidewalk (some scratches on the LCD monitor). Where it is weak is in speed of ...

Beware, this camera is a mediocre design and its construction is flimsy. I bought a unit refurbished by Fuji and guaranteed to be as new. The zoom juddered, and it was clear there was a tracking fault. So I exchanged it for another - and guess what, this also had a tracking fault! If two cameras have the same fault, this suggests a design flaw, and I won't be trying out a third unit. The picture quality if fine, but for the moment I'll be sticking with my Fuji 2200, which is great, ...

I bought the 2400 in Jan 2001. Back then the camera seemed to stand out from what was a limited market, things certainly have changed in the last 15 months! Like the others who have reviewed the 2400 I found the daylight picture quality excellent, both in detail and colour reproduction. Move inside to a dimly lit building or wait 'til night time and the camera shows it flaws. Like many lower end digital cameras the flash is a weak affair and can produce disappointing results compared to some ...

I agree with most users out there, the camera is excellent value! My biggest beefs are the body construction and iso setting. I've replaced the battery cover in the first 6 months. The lens cover doesn't click closed or open now. Poor design. The service guy at FujiFilm in Toronto agreed, he's seen many of them. Number 2 is the lighting, in a room with a lamp, keep it out of the field of view. The exposure depends on the brightest object, not the center of the frame as it should be. In ...

I bought this camera in december 2000 and made more than 4000 photos. This is my first digital camera and I am very happy with it. The picture quality is very good. The camera is very easy to use. I don't really like the plastic construction. It feels and looks rather 'cheap'... But I must say it's very strong. I dropped the camera once to the floor and it still works perfectly! I've had never any problems with downloading (or is it uploading?) the photos to my computer. I use Windows ME and ...
