I love this camera. My first DSLR coming over from film. When I got this camera they just released it and haven't looked back. The feature set is good for it's price point. At last shutter count I was at 38k +. Never had a problem or issue. It is a good all around shooter with the capability to swap lenses for different situations or your own personal shooting style. My recommendation is if you are interested in getting into the DSLR world get an EOS XXXD camera and start learning. ...

Really amazing camera! Great amount of options and features that allow a wide range of photography types in different sittuations. A little bit expensive but it surely is worthy. Problems: AF in evaluative mode is a little bit unpredictive, using spot metering will get better results

I bought this as a twin lens kit. The lenses that came with it produce average-to-OK results but nothing too flash (photography humour :-). I've since added a Canon 100mm macro lens which I'm fairly happy with. Although I'm not getting the macro clarity I had expected, it's beautiful for portrait work. Please feel free to look at my photographs at Flickr - vwilliams.biz. It's relatively easy to adjust the settings (as long as I can remember where they all are) and there are more than I'll ...

not so good as I thought...... Problems: IQ is not so good unless you buy a better expensive lens ,because with a kit lens is disaster......no more comments .

Exellent value/quality camera. I come from EOS 5 film camera and it is my first DSLR. I am always surprised about people criticising plastic bodies. I still have my eos5 (semi-pro camera) that I bought in 1995. it is made of plastic but have no visible scratches (exept hot shoe, and near the tripod screw) and it did not break because of my heavy L lenses attached on it. So I expect the 450D/Xsi to be as long lasting...just don't drop it from a cliff or take a bath with it. The 450D has all ...

after years of taking pictures of aircraft in flight using a fuji superzoom with olympus tcom extender with fair results I decided to bite the bullet when a good deal came up on a 450+kit + 300mm lens. Verdict is I should have done it years ago as taking pictures is now fun not frustrating. Problems: downloading via elements 7 from camera can be a bit hit or miss.

As it is my first SLR, I was a bit upset by the quantity of options that I could have to setup prior to take any pictures. After 30 minutes trying all kind of tests, I saw that this camera was really well made, menue were not so complicate and hard to understand, and the picture quality was theire.
