PowerEx (Maha) has announced three new Lithium-Ion battery packs designed to be a cheaper option to the camera manufacturer branded packs. These batteries are essentially identical to the supplied battery and are fully compatible with both camera and charger. In some cases the PowerEx batteries actually have more capacity than the standard battery. The MH-FM50 is compatible with Sony cameras which used the NP-FM50 battery, the MH-ENEL3 is compatible with tne Nikon D100 and the MH-NP200 is compatible with the Minolta DiMAGE X, Xi and Xt. These batteries are in addition to the wide range of compatible (cheaper than branded) Lithium-Ion batteries PowerEx already have.
Maha Energy Corp., the maker of the PowerEx brand batteries and chargers has today announced their latest hike in AA NiMH battery capacity, now up to 2200 mAh. Just four months after announcing 2000 mAh AA NiMH batteries they have managed to squeeze an extra 10% (200 mAh) capacity into the batteries. 'As part of its global marketing program highlighting that Not All Batteries are Created Equal, indeed due to variation in design, quality control and rating, even identically rated batteries could have significant variation in performance as much as 30%.'
Energy Corp., the maker of the PowerEx batteries and chargers have announced
their latest Lithium battery packs for Digital Cameras. The MH-NB2L Lithium
Ion battery for Canon Powershot S30, S40 and S45 series will retail for
under $40 and the Lithium Polymer MH-ENEL2 for Nikon Coolpix 2500 and
3500 cameras for under $30. Both are designed to be 100% interchangeable
with the original and have up to 20% higher runtime.

Powerex has introduced a range of four Lithium-Ion / Lithium-Polymer rechargeable battery packs which are directly compatible with several digital camera models which take proprietary designed packs. The four packs are the MH-BP511 (Canon G1, G2, D30, D60 etc.), MH-NP80 (Fujifilm / Toshiba / Kodak), MH-ENEL1 (Nikon Coolpix 775, 885, 995, 880, 885, 5000 etc.), MH-NB1L (Canon PowerShot S100, S110, S300 etc.). These packs are completely compatible and have either the same or higher capacity than the packs they replace.
