Creo today announced their latest generation digital camera backs in the Leaf Aptus 17 and Aptus 22 (17 and 22 megapixels respectively). The Leaf Aptus back features a very large 3.5" (6 x 7 cm) touch-screen LCD monitor for immediate image evaluation. The back is powered by a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery and stores on either Compact Flash or the removable 20 GB Leaf Digital Magazine. The Leaf Aptus support various medium format cameras from Hasselblad, Mamiya, Contax, Fuji and Bronica as well as a range of View cameras.

Creo has today announced that their digital camera back system - the Leaf Valeo - is now wireless. This next generation Leaf Valeo is being introduced with a wireless display on two models: the Leaf Valeo 22Wi and the new Leaf Valeo 17Wi, with resolutions of 22 and 17 million pixels respectively. The new Leaf Valeo Wi family uses Bluetooth to accomplish two-way communication between the camera and the Leaf DP-67 (based on an HP iPAQ). Special offers are available for the purchase of the Leaf Valeo 22Wi and Leaf Valeo 17Wi systems.

Creo has today announced the Leaf Valeo 22 digital camera back for in studio and portable shooting. It utilizes a newly developed 22 megapixel CCD giving 4,056 x 5,356 resolution in a sensor size of 48 x 36 mm. Raw data files reach 126 MB in 16 bit and are stored on a removable 5 GB or 10 GB Leaf Digital Magazine. A detachable 6 x 7 cm display, based on the HP iPAQ pocket PC, and removable Digital Magazine provides Leaf Portable Power. Demonstration units are available from July 2003 and commercial shipments begin September 1, 2003.
