Phil: Note that most of the images were taken with in-camera sharpening set to +1, having said that the improvement in sharpness we can see in these images comes from the underlying image data and it does look like Olympus have made a fairly big stride in sharpness since the sample we had for preview just over a month ago. UPDATE 30/Sep: Imaging-Resource also post E-1 images from USA GP. Click here to view another gallery of E-1 images taken by Michael Tomkins' of Imaging-Resource. Olympus E-1 Formula One Samples GalleryThere are 20 images in the samples gallery. Please do not reproduce any of these images on a website or any newsletter / magazine without prior permission (see our copyright page). I make the originals available for private users to download to their own machines for personal examination or printing (in conjunction with this review), I do so in good faith, don't abuse it. Unless otherwise noted images taken with no particular settings at 2560 x 1920 SHQ JPEG. Images downsampled to fit into 1024 x 1024 bounds to fit in your browser, as always the original untouched image is available by clicking on a link below the reduced image. Note that all of the images were taken in the Adobe RGB color space, they are clearly labelled 'Adobe RGB' above the image and carry a prefix of '_', the smaller image has been converted from Adobe RGB to sRGB, the original image is Adobe RGB (straight from the camera).
