photographer Rob Galbraith got an extended look at the Nikon D1X at PMA,
here's what he has to say about it: "The D1X is now scheduled to
ship in about 90 days at a price of about US$5500; the D1H, 30 days after
that, for about US$4500... image sharpness and clarity is nothing short
of spectacular..."
