Sony To License Memory Stick to 6 Firms

Sony today announced that they will be licensing their MemoryStick technology to six other companies: Fujitsu, Aiwa, Sanyo, Sharp, Pioneer and Kenwood. This in an attempt not to repeat the Betamax debacle.
