Ricoh announced today the Caplio R30, a more affordable, ultra-slim version of the Caplio R3, with a smaller zoom range.
The 26mm thick, 5.3 megapixel R30 features a wide angle 28-160mm equiv. (5.7x) optical zoom, 1cm macro mode, large 2.5-inch screen and low (0.09 sec) shutter lag. As usual we have no word as to whether the R30 will ever be distributed in the US.
