Sony today announced the sucessor to the DSC-V1, the seven megapixel four times optical zoom DSC-V3. This camera is noticeably larger than the DSC-V1, has a black body and a 'proper' hand grip. Changes include a huge 2.5" LCD monitor, RAW image format and a Compact Flash slot. The more you look at the DSC-V3 and examine its specifications the more it actually seems like a successor to the popular DSC-S85. We've had a pre-production DSC-V3 for a couple of days now and have been able to produce a hands-on preview.
