PMA 2003: SanDisk has today announced SanDisk Extreme(TM), a line of high-performance CompactFlash and SD cards. Extreme CompactFlash have write speed of up to 6MB/sec, and will initially ship in capacities of 256, 512MB and 1 gigabyte, with street prices of $99, $189 and $379 respectively. Extreme SD cards have write speeds of up to 2.5MB/sec, and will be available in 256 and 512MB capacities with a street price $109 and $219 respectively. Both card formats are expected to start shipping in Q2 2003.
