has today announced a new 1 GB Compact Flash card, what differentiates
it is the fact that it uses flash memory for storage (rather than a moving
disc - Microdrive) and that it will be of the Type I form factor. "The
1GB SanDisk CompactFlash card is expected to be available at retail in
Q1 2002. The card is expected to sell for under $800. In October, the
company introduced SanDisk Ultra(tm) CompactFlash cards, a new line of
high-speed storage cards for the digital photography market."
