CES 2014 Fujifilm Stand Report

Most of the attention at the Fujifilm booth centered around their X-series lineup. While most of the new products were compact cameras - such as the world's first rugged superzoom - we also spent some quality time with the new 56mm F1.2 and 10-24mm F4 lenses.

I like the gap between X-Pro1 and X-E2. There is still a new camera body to be announced. ;) Supposedly the weather sealed, large EVF, X-T1.

Maybe it's DPR getting in early with the press but the excitement in some of these photos just leaps off my screen.

It would be a lie if I said I'm not partial to Fuji. I've owned and sold many Fuji cameras in the past and currently own a few. Of those, I truly cherish the X100S and XF1. From their clean retro design to their image quality, Fuji X cameras take you back to how photography used to be. The X100s especially with it's dials and aperture ring give the photographer direct access to what's used the most. Very well could be the greatest camera I have ever used.

Chris Dodkin in the Fujifilm Forums has a much more comprehensive booth review. Kind of disappointing, DPReview. :/

Same thoughts here, Chris is doing a much better job than the paid folks.

EricWN,

that's the eternal problem: there will be an amateur/unpaid person who will do something better than the paid professional. (How many times have you read rants and flame wars here about amateurs shooting at the same weddings as pros?).

Let's admit Chris's excellent input is rather an exception and thus let's not hurry to judge DPR's staff poorly. And let us not forger that the forums containing useful information from the users only exist, and are free-of-charge to us, thanks to DPR.
