This camera is a real hammer, only clue is the price that is set too high. The images are excellent if you consider the size of the sensor.

Don't know what that has to do with Pinocchio, that name means in Italian eye stitch. You need anyway an accurate knowledge of the occult doctrines to see what that name tells you.

In some way the the Q10 stitches your eye too, you can't miss it once you see it, if you do, for sure. It's as small as a Pinocchio at rest, a pee-thing, in some way, but one that works great, once you rub on that wonder lamp. You will not see the genie standing up with his bald head, but you'll be pleased to see good pictures. That is some way of magic too. :-))

So, let's hope to see a review some day here, since they are occupied to test mirrorless at DPR. Just for information, this is a mirrorless, so hope we will see this long awaited review become reality. Or, let's hope that Nikon will build it on license, we will then see the review within a week.

Remember kids, camera's are serious business, and should look serious and be serious. There is no fun allowed. Creativity be damned! They should be black and scream, "I am a photographer', just so everyone knows that your job is not something to laugh at as your profession fads into oblivion.

Jerome probably only has a medium- or large-format "bigjob" camera that uses 6"x6" film. Everything smaller is a toy. :)

Well DPR for some odd reason didn't review the first Q, so why would they review the Q10? They want to convince people to be excited about the Olympus XZ-10 with the exact 1/2.3" sensor, but the Q, the first ever ILC with such a chip, they didn't bother with. :-)

As far as Bozo the clown, there are tons of excellent images from the Q, if you care to look, and it performs better than most compact, even ones with larger sensors. But perhaps you'd like to show people images from your serious camera.

If Bozo is interested in an excellent sensor in a small cam with interchangeable lenses he might really consider this. In contrast to dpreview DxO did already review it and classified it on par with the Panasonic GF5 http://www.mirrorlessrumors.com/pentax-q10-gets-dxomarked-and-is-on-par-with-the-panaosnic-gf5/
Not bad for this little camera...

And still we don't have a review on dpreview... maybe they're too occupied reviewing tablets on Connect....

Be nice. It actually outsells the NEX-F3 and C3, as well as the Oly E-PL5. Of course, the EOS-M is #3 in Japan, so maybe we shouldn't put too much stock in what they think... http://www.petapixel.com/2012/10/30/the-current-state-of-the-mirrorless-war/#more-84253

I like the design of the Q except sensor size. They have to learn from the NEX.

I'm mostly just being a wiseguy. I actually have thought about buying the original Q now that they are only $200-250. Could be a fun toy at that price.

"DSLRs and major mirrorless cameras, actually." ------------- how do you know it is not among the major cameras. Do you have figures etc as to how much it is selling etc. The only figure I know of is that Q out-sold OMD in japan in 2012. But then OMD is considered among the major cameras. If you do not have figures to back up then , it is your opinion only and not a fact.

The original Q is, but that's because they slashed the price to $240. It's only competing with compact cameras at that point.

The Q10 is not in the top 100. It's #8160 in camera and photo. E-M5 is #330

The original Q is like 2 years old, so kinda late for a review and no point reviewing clearance cameras. This article is for the q10 which likely won't sell well until it is also on clearance.

"likely won't sell" ---------- Is the reason that there is no review for Q and Q10 is 2 years old will be the excuse for not reviewing Q10. The way pentax is dissed by DPR, it used to be the same with others like Sony Oly pana etc around 2006 or so. Once Sony ditched DPR and gave camera to other review site that produced review on release date. Things changed for Sony on DPR. I think Pentax Ricoh should also ditch DPR. If dpr does not think of their cameras it would be right not to give cameras etc to dpr and move on to other sites that really give some importance to them.

I think DPR does a great job with reviews, but it was sort of odd that they didn't bother reviewing the original Q, even though it outperforms most other 1/2.3" sensor compacts and some with larger sensors.

We've gotten already two articles about the Olympus XZ-10, with the gist being that 1/2.3" with a fast lens is an interesting product. But the original Q solid with an f/1.9 prime, and was the first ILC ever to feature a small BSI sensor.

I believe that sensor size snobbery was the main reason the original Q wasn't reviewed because as far as IQ, there's little to complain about with the Pentax Q.

@tkbslc - Actually you are wrong about the Q10. The Q10 in Japan has made it at least to top 20 list, and to the top 10 for a period of time too. I know this fact may be surprising to you but such it is.
