I updated my K-5 from 1.12 to 1.14 but have no tests. For the K-01, the step up from 1.01 to 1.02 was worth doing in my single limited / Limited test: the DA40 focused faster on poorly-lit text, and in-focus hit rate (as seen on the LCD) went from 1/4 to 4/4. My step up to 1.01 did not show big improvements with my lens mix, but I think this one is a keeper.

I just updated the new firmware to my K-5. For me, I will never buy the expensive DA 560 however with my DFA100WR, the AF is snappier and more hunt now. I will try some more with the rest of my gears. Well done PENTAX....

for K-5
I think the AF fits better and faster after the update:

Hmmm ... it gives my K-5 improved stability for general performance. Whats that?

Has anyone downloaded the updade already? I mean are there noticeable changes, is it worth updating? (I do not have DA 560mm and did not encounter stability problems by now on my K-30).

I think the Q was a flop.

I think the Q is brilliant. It's the most fun and interesting camera I've ever shot with. How many cameras can boast of having a 1/2000 flash sync? No anti aliasing filter? Option to shoot with a silent shutter? Offer constant f2.8 80mm-250mm zoom for $300? The Q combines all of this with focus peaking in a slick ultra compact body with all the operational control and feel of a DSLR.

The last FW update for the Q didn't leave much room for further improvements. Wish I could say the same for my Nikon.

Well, since 560 isn't Q mount, it kinda makes sense :)
