Fujifilm posts revised X-Pro1 firmware 3.01 with movie mode fix

I just updated yesterday. Update was a piece of cake for me. I have all 3 original primes and yes, I'm impressed with the AF improvement. I have actually been researching a new system because of the the crap AF I have been dealing with for the past several months. Forget selling now...I'm keeping this system! Even my super slow 60mm macro is now usable in low light. Still has it's faults but what an improvement. I love the focus peaking too. I trusted Fuji would work their engineers to death fixing this thing and they have. RIP engineers! Trust in Fuji!

Obviously, the whole firmware update was cancelled. I waited to update until 3.01 came out and my camera wouldn't recognize it, saying my 2.05 version was up to date. Frustrating and a complete waste of time. What was Fuji thinking?

There are many things to say about this update methodology. Yes, we users like it that after about 15 months our tools get new competences and enter a new life. Yes, we find it pleasing that Fuji keeps on listening to us. Yes, we get the confirmation now that the risk we took to buy into the X-system has turned into a different feeling now that Fuji has one of the most competent mirrorless concepts on the market. But... what we regret is that many of the problems we experienced should have been solved earlier. While I persisted colleagues have abandonned the X-Pro1 since they were getting too tired from the AF-stories and the also poor RAW support by major software. There you made a very strategic error. There is still room for improvement not only in a broader support, but also in the quality of what the major ones achieve at this moment - we hope that in the background you keep on steering Adobe, Apple, C1 and many others to achieve even better results, as we see in Silkypix.

Like some readers posted interest in the firmware updated AF improvement (AF speeds, accuracy) on the Xpro1, i am also keen to know how it compares with the rest of firmware refreshed Fujifilms XE1, XM1, X100S, etc...

I am especially keen to read head to head updates to the contemporary outings from Olympus, and against entry-mid level DSLRs?

Do we need to just update the body's FW 3.01 or do all the lenses also have to be updated again?

I know it is silly of me to ask, but when do you plan to make full review of X100S. It is one of the most anticipated cameras of the year. It is selling already, but still no review.
