Nikon's value and respect from users took an unprecedented dive when it came out and launched the "1" camera.

They will soon realize that b removing the "1" camera, they will gain more respect and therefore, have no need to offer cash backs because they have respect back.

Interesting, here in the US, a recent USA Today paper had a full eight-page color insert, all Nikon, in conjunction with Best Buy. The thing that stuck out was all the pegs for WiFi-with the optional adapter!

Let's hear more about those exhilarating Nikon experiences. How about a once in a lifetime opportunity to have a gray market Nikon repaired at Nikon USA, with a 24-hour turnaround?

The D600 cashback is actually just a continuation of their spring promotion which offered the same rebate from mid-March until the end of May. It's interesting that they have decided to extend it - presumably it didn't shift as much of the old stock of units with apparently dodgy shutters as they hoped! Maybe this will become a permanent price reduction.

Quick question, does the D600 still smear lubricants and plastic debris over it's sensor?

Your article states that there is £150 cashback available on the purchase of a D800. According to Nikon's UK website, the offer is for the D600.

Model
D3100= £30/€35
D3200= £40/€50
D5100= £40/€50
D5200= £50/€60
D7000= £100/€120
D600 = £150/€180

Is DPR an authorised news dealer on Nikon cashbacks?

As I have already said last time, I believe you should research current cashbacks from multiple brands and collate into one article otherwise one may accuse you of bias.

Nikon UK send us press releases. Because it seems reasonable to assume they may be of interest to some of our readers, we publish them. It's no more complicated than that.

People accuse us of bias no matter what we do.

@JustDavid, you could write a press release for whichever company having a promotion and sent it to DPReview if the company's PR department is too lazy to do so.

Hmmm, here is a reply I got from PR agency that works for Pentax UK reagding the Cashback:
"We did and always do issue press releases to a number of members of the DPReview team. We will of course continue to send our releases to the team which are normally picked up and reported on."
So where is the true?
