As a principle this is a great idea, unfortunately Manfrotto probably isn't the best firm to excecute this concept, granted the Diva range looks reasonable, but the others look worse than the conventional nonsense.

A solution I discovered was to buy an insert which could be fitted to any bag (messenger, tote, or rucksack), and a larger model can easily accomodate a 1D/D3/4 type body with 70-200mm f2.8, and 24-70 lenses, two primes and a flashgun, plus the bag itself usually has additional pockets for filters, triggers, light mods etc.

With this insert, your beloved Birkin, or LV can become a real stylish camera bag. I'll post a photo when I've got time.

Can a guy order one of these bags with the logo from his favorite football team?

The Bravo 50 looks like something my wife would sew up for the kids to play with on a camping outing in the back yard. Also, I notice it has the same plastic male buckle insert that goes into a metal male buckle part. That should break within 6 months. Manfrotto needs to stick to what they know-tripods.

Maybe it's April Fool's Month. Well, people buy and wear Crocs in public too. Maybe if you had one of those hip new colored Pentax K30's you could almost make a statement - not sure exactly what that would be though. As a product photographer I feel the models used here are all wrong; I would have looked for John Lennon and Truman Capote look-alikes to start with. Marketing!

The Diva looks as though it would be a pain to keep on the shoulder. Not anything I would want to purchase.

I just got a Epiphanie London bag, and nothing beats this for stylishness + function. It's spacious and looks nothing like a camera bag. Waterproofness is a little dubious, but for everyday use, I haven't seen anything that beats this. Much better design than the bags listed here. http://www.epiphaniebags.com/Black_London_backpack_p/lon001blk.htm

Don't know about you guys but I want a bag that doesn't look like a camera bag, and I don't want to carry a lot of accessories in it. Just a Mirror-less camera with a pancake on it and the smallest tripod for taking pictures on parties. And they might be on the right path here.

I think the phrase "for everyday wear" says it all, as opposed to "for everyday use".

The PBS tote and the man purse don't look so bad, but that Bravo 50? wow that's bad. Its not a stylish shape (a square) and the white with black straps just call that fact out.

I think they're trying to copy the look of the Chrome camera bags (and probably other bag makers I'm unaware of): http://www.chromeindustries.com/bags/camera-bags/niko-pack

Well, i so welcome pleasant-to-look-at camera bags, but these ones don't charm me.

Also i wouldn't want a very light-colored material, which might look shabby soon. Especially so if the material isn't easily washable.

Any design options that separate from the norm I think at great. It really comes down to protecting the gear properly and accessing it quick and efficiently. Everything else regarding style is too personal to rate or offer opinion. The size of the backpack looks ideal if the access and removable protective features are nice it seems the winner in my book. The tote seems to disguise itself well and certainly has gender specific design, however there is a line I believe j.Jill or something to that effect that really makes smart looking women's bags at screaming prices. I am looking forward to seeing and handling the backpack to see if it is a solid new offering for daily use.

The absence of black nylon is refreshing to see, it seems like the main goal with the design was not-to-look-like-a-camera-bag. That plan has definitely succeeded, but I question the functionality. The market will say if this is top or flop.

Well, the ladies bag looks nice; I have always felt sorry for women photogs who, until very recently ( in the last three or four years ) with the introduction of the lovely Jill-e range of camera bags, have had to put up with the very masculine "train-spotter" nerdy type bags. This Manfrotto ladies Tote Bag is a welcome addition to the choices women photographers now have.

The Bravo 50 backpack doesn't look too special from the image shown here.

And the last bag just looks way too effeminate for a man.

That tote looks like a granny satchel and as a female, there is no way on the planet I would ever use that. I guess I'm not a Diva. They really hit the wrng mark with that one.
