These photos are for the "worst mobile image photo category" right?
Sorry, the majority are very sub standard.

No, the majority are quite good, and a few are absolutely fantastic imho.
I hope you looked at the composition and other photographic/artistic qualities of the photos, and didn't get too hung up on dynamic range, noise and other (in this context) irrelevant things.

Dear Mr Antony Jones
I'im very surprised by your opinion. These pictures are among the most beautiful I've ever seen. How can you be insensitive at the framings, sense of colour, humanity of most of them? Or maybe you pay too much atention to details like number of lines/mm, distorsion, etc. I think a picture's value is in the "spirit" that flows from them, more than technical details like aperture, exposure time etc.

confusing! sure takes a long time to click through all the entries. could have been designed better. why have categories if the entries are all in one pool?

It's true that the readers' choice is cross-category, but the jury will pick a winner in each category, as well as a winner of the grand prize.

What an amazing, AMAZING set of finalists.
I am in awe and will certainly have a difficult time voting for these outstanding photos.

Yes, I caught that too. I presume it is a typo, but who knows.

If the 3D will be released within a year or so, then there probably are a few of them out in the wild being tested. But are the photographers really allowed to acknowledge their existence?

It's kinda odd the way they've got it laid out. It looks like you're voting for one of these 5 images, but they're just the first selections for each of the 10-image categories. I have one in Altered Images too, but I'm betting most think its just out of these 5.

Lots of great images though! Sweet to be among them :)
