I'm wondering why they even bothered with this firmware update. There are likely some other tweaks they could have tossed in which would have been greatly appreciated, but just this one little fix on startup? Surprised they bothered.

I wish Nikon would allow you to see what ISO the camera is selecting in Auto ISO and raise the minimum shutter speed from 1/15 in Auto ISO. The VR kit zoom works incredibly well down to 1/15, but it's too slow for any motion, obviously.

And I suppose disabling the EVF playback after you make an exposure is out of the question?

Other than that, the V1 is a superb small shooter, but these two things are a not ideal.

Don't forget 14 bit RAW. That would be a massive boost for this camera. It has the brains and brawn to do it too, just lacks the will power from Nikon

An 8mm F1.2 would be nice too.

14-bit RAW would be nice.

For lenses, with the 18.5 1.8, the UWA zoom, and the 32 1.2 N coated portrait lens coming, things are starting to get interesting.

If Nikon can somehow get Toshiba to design a 1" sensor that's as successful as the D5200's, I'd be thrilled.

I hope Nikon will develop a sensor with Toshiba for the Nikon 1 too.

Sony just stole their CX sensor putting to the RX100 and become a rival to the 1 system.

the Aptina-Sensor is awesome: 4k RAW 6ofps Burst Modus - affordable camera that can do that, except for $ 26,000?
No other camera that kan!
