Panasonic has announced the Lumix DMC-XS1 compact camera. The 16MP XS1 body is only 14mm thick, sports a 24mm (equiv.) 5x optical zoom lens and includes the company's MEGA O.I.S image stabilization system. Panasonic has also announced the Lumix DMC-FH10 and F5 compact cameras. The FH10 provides the functionality of the XS1 (minus the Creative Control filters) in a larger camera body, while the entry-level F5 uses a slightly smaller-resolution 14MP sensor. All three cameras will be available at the end of March.

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FH10 & LUMIX DMC-F5
Two similarly stylish LUMIX compact cameras are also available from Panasonic in the shape of the DMC-FH10 and DMC-F5. The LUMIX FH10 provides identical performance to the XS1 (minus Creative Control filters) in an ever so slightly larger camera. The new, entry-level LUMIX F5 retains the stunning design of the XS1 and FH10 – as well as features such as MEGA O.I.S. and iA – and the inclusion of a 14.1 megapixel sensor make it an amazingly affordable option.
The FH10 and F5 will be in available in the stores and online at the end of March.
