I notice LR3.5 adds lens profile for "Nikon AF Zoom-Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8D ED".

Can I utilise this profile for Nikon AF Zoom-Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8 (1988-1992) and other 80-200mm with same optical design?

Are there any ACR rendering changes for older cameras?

So they release it with support for Olympus cameras, but they don't bother to include any Olympus lens profiles?

That hardly makes sense.

The Olympus and Panasonic lens profiles are already integrated in their lenses' firmware.

you can make your own with the adobe lens profiler software or maybe search to see if someone made any presets already.

If you don't have any of these newer cameras, is there any reason to download and install this? Are there any other bug or feature fixes?

I counted 20 bug fixes in the Lightroom 3.5 Readme -- here

Not long after the a77 test studio comparison shots. Will DPR review this "final" ACR to see if it makes any significant difference to their RAW conversions for the studio shot? Many people were complaining that the a77 RAW studio shots were noisier than they've seen from other websites.

I hope they do. It shouldn't be that much work.. Drag, drop, save, and upload. Regardless - playing around with the RAW files in LR has created pleasing results, on par if not better than it's competitors.

I think the general consensus is that its the same version they used. Results are very similar is you turn off all NR (as they say they do). I do think the grain is slightly finer...

See if you can spot the rectangle of DPR's image overlaid on this Base output with 0-nr and 0-sharpening from ACRv6.5:

Of course we will (we always check if we've initially used a beta version), though it's not quite as simple as drag/drop/save/upload.

Futile: That's actually really easy to spot. It is near the lower right-hand corner. Nice for comparison though!

R Butler: Glad to hear it will be redone. I just figured it'd be about that easy since the shots are already taken (though perhaps dp plans to reshoot as well, as there have been concerns about the focus as well?).

NEX-7 support is in the works, but as Chaitanya suggests, that support won't really be relevant till the NEX-7 hits the market.

Probably a beta period first if LR4 was anywhere near.

He Eric,
Any chance that we get a LR3.5.1 that adds support to the Canon s100 and the NEX7. The S100 should arrive at owners' hands starting next week according Amazon!

Hi Eigenmeat, we generally do dot releases every ~13 weeks (4 times a year). Of course we also do public release candidates (like we did for ACR 6.4 / LR 3.4), which come out earlier. Hopefully this gives you an idea of when to expect the next updates. As for camera updates, of course we'll be working on the new models and by the time they ship to customers I expect you'll not have to wait long (if at all).
