The Sony US Blog post says this:
The firmware update applies to E-mount models launched prior to Oct 2011, so models getting the firmware update include the ╬▒NEX-3, NEX-5, NEX-C3 cameras, as well NEX-VG10 Handycam Camcorder and even a model in our professional camera line, the Sony NEX-FS100U.

But there is no link to download Sony NEX-FS100 firmware and Sony hasn't replied to requests for a clarification because a previous announcement concerning the LA-EA2 and FS100 pair indicated that firmware would be released in "early 2012" or "03/12" and that the FS100 would have more functionaliy, such as smooth iris changes while using PDAF autofocus - The VG20 (and I assume other models as well but haven't looked into specifics) can only autofocus at f/3.5.

It doesn't need the update because it already has the software to operate the LA-EA2.
