Free download of Wildlife Photography e-book: Sunday Dec 11th

Wildlife photographer and dpreview.com contributor Uwe Skrzypczak is making his book 'Wildlife photography: On Safari with Your DSLR: Equipment, Techniques, Workflow' available as a free download. The download will be available for 12 hours on Sunday December 11th. The German-language version of the e-book will be available exactly one week later. As a goodwill offering, Uwe Skrzypczak and his publisher Rockynook will be making the English language version of the book available again on Sunday December 18th (There will be another news story nearer the time). This will be the only legal method of getting the book for free, so please do not share other download links.

I have found this site most helpful and have recommended it quite a few others. Please keep up the outstanding work on the reviews, new products, firmware updates, etc... But this offer is a joke, or a scam by the publisher sent as a part of an e-mail, long after it expired...Thanks

The notice just came out DECEMBER 25! Even with the "goodwill offering" for December 18th no one can download this e-book. :-<

It would have been good to recieve the email at least 2 days before publication, as it was recieved on 25/12/2011. which makes it a good Xmas present

I just received the email today also. After seeing so many others in the same boat, I'm wondering if this wasn't a ploy on the publishers part to "up" the sales of the book. Scams like this only ensure I'll never buy one of his books.

It is a pity for me too. I received the newsletter on 24th of december. I had likely received the book because in february 2012 i go to tanzania, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. Just this locations are in the book. How can I get it?

I was again dissappointed thea I could not down this article.Last week it stated it would be available on Sunday December 18. If i knew it would have been available on saturday and sunday for twelve hours I would have made the deadline.What a loss....
