Fujifilm updates firmware for X10 compact

@Jhour ive been actually experiencing the same thing occassionally where the image never matches what i see on the LCD screen whether its color or exposure..

it could be user error, but theres not enough documented cases to know for certain... if anyone else knows of anything either im doing wrong, or anything, let me know... thanks.

I received my X10 this week and noted that the pictures were under exposed at all settings. To get the correct exposure, I had to raise EV by at least 2 points. So I returned mine. Did any one else noted this issue?

my x10 was already on 1.02 also. I am very pleased with initial testing of this camera. Apart from the obviously smaller sensor and fixed lens, this camera blows away my canon 40d which I sold to purchase the X10 as I was tired of lugging around excessively bulky equipment. Now I never go anywhere without a quality camera. I really don't understand comments about the cost of this camera. Prices are actually quite low considering all the advancements in technology. I guess some people just think these cameras should be free.

I received my x10 earlier this week, too, already loaded with firmware 1.02. Any x10 users finding that they do not have all the continuous shooting modes identified on page 40 of the manual available on the camera menu? I have it set on "P" shooting mode and it only shows Still Image, Top, Best Frame Capture and AE BKT. Missing are ISO BKT, Film Simulation BKT, and Dynamic Range, BKT. The settings table on page 126 of manual shows that all of these burst modes should be available when set to "P" shooting mode.

I received my X10 earlier this week. Latest firmware 1.02 was already installed. So far, no issues with the X10, and I'm running it thru quite a few tests under various lighting conditions. So far thumbs up!

Fuji is dealing with X10 problems very quickly, even before the camera goes on sale in North America. I hope they'll be quick with their next X100 update. I love my X100 as it is, but it still has have some unresolved firmware problems after Ver. 1.11.

Just thinking if it would be worth getting over something with a larger sensor like the Olympus or X100?

Very good next to my D700. So far So Good in picture quality.

I will have my x10 tomorrow almost 2 weeks earlier than the expected date. I look forward to testing this camera!

I know it has great dynamic range, but the competition offers +-2ev bracketing and the X10 only reaches +-1ev. It would be nice if a firmware update added this for HDR. No I don't want to do the weird oversaturated kind. But I'd like to shoot a sunlit river through some well shaded trees and combine them so it looks more like what I see as my pupils get bigger or smaller.

First impression: Feels great, really great, in the hands. So far only able to test high iso performance, which is very good.

Mine (bought from Jessops last week) is already on 1.02.

DPReview should do an aritcle, The Pros & Cons of Being an Early Adopter. I don't think there are any "pros", though. Of course, people will stand in line outside an Apple store to get first crack at undiscovered "issues" (problems).
