Michigan photographer Tyler Card has turned himself into a DSLR for Halloween. Not content with building a wearable DSLR costume, Card proceeded to install his real Nikon DSLR, a Speedlight and a laptop into the design. He had the foresight to shoot a video of the process, which we thought was too good to not share. (via PopPhoto)

Awesome costume and I wish I had thought of something like that. Imagine the crazy photo's you'd get out on the streets and in the bars in a college town!

His from the "chest" photography and nicely separated light source produced better party results than I'm used to achieving normally. GOOD JOB!

Why a smallish kit lens?
Why not a 70-200 or a 300 F2.8 lens?
Or a macro lens that extends a lot when needed...and would easily contract afterwards...
Then the girls would like it more???

This is so typical of DP review.
They show favoritism by reviewing the cardboard homemade halloween costume Nikon DSLR but totally ignore the Canon, Sony, Pentax models. I spent weeks making a Leica version. In hindsight using a painted manhole cover for the red dot was not the best idea, but you live and learn.

I don't see how it is 'favortism' as it's an article of someone who has no assocation with DP. Also...did you or someone you know submit pictures and/or video to places on the net for word to get around?

Nothing new here. I went to a halloween party as a camera about 30 years ago. I'll admit this one looks a bit nicer, but it's not a new idea. (And, of course, I didn't have a digital camera and laptop computer in mine.)

That is a hellava costume pal! I hope your video goes viral and Nikon should send you a DSLR for the free promotion. Afterall you could have built a Canon Rebel T3i or something. Hope you didn't trash the PC.
