Sony content updated. In the light of the level of interest in Sony's latest launches, we've gone back and added more information to much of our content. Now our servers have cooled down a bit, we've gone back and, in response to the questions you've been asking, we've updated our coverage. Most noticeably, we've added some 1080p60 movie samples to the A77 preview. We've also added improved illustrations to our NEX-7 first look to make it easier to see how the control system is going to work.

A65 Preview

The A77 and NEX-7 may have been the cameras getting all the attention but the A65, targeted at the most popular section of the interchangeable lens camera market may be the one on which Sony's fortunes rest. Understandably its announcement was somewhat overshadowed by the two high-end models, but in terms of performance-per-pound, it looks pretty promising. Click here to read the A65 hands-on preview.

A77 Preview

We've added two 1080p60 and two 1080i60 video samples to allow you to see how the video-shooting side of the camera behaves. We've also added a video demonstration of its rather elaborate LCD hinge mechanism and a brief description of its focus tracking mode. Click here to see the video samples.

NEX-7 First Look

To make the operation and customization of the NEX-7's Tri-Navi system easier to understand, we've updated the illustrations in our NEX-7 First Look article. We've also added the full camera specifications.

Thanks!

Two questions to address in the final review:
1) How fast is shooting with autoreview enabled?
2) How does the automatic mode work? The nice a700 way, or the new Sony/Canon/Nikon broken way? On the older Sony/Minolta cameras, it was basically like a P-mode, with all setting default to auto each time you power up.

Also, a reminder to anyone thinking of pre-ordering: If you pre-order now from Sony, you will not be able to return it. Sony violates their TOS, and calculates return dates from date of order, not date of shipment.

Works fine here.. I just grabbed the MTS files and watched on my PS3+55inLED. Wow... this is the first 1080/60p video I've seen on my TV, its really impressive. Will be amazing for Macro / Wildlife footage.
