Nikon posts Coolpix 7900 and 5900 firmware v1.2

Nikon has posted a firmware update for its Coolpix 7900 and 5900 compact cameras. Version 1.2, for both Windows and Mac, corrects an error that led to pictures taking a considerable amount of time to record when the option for date imprint was set to 'Off'. An error in the Korean menu plus text errors in Spanish, French and Italian menus has also been corrected.

What has been changed in version 1.2 of the firmware?

  • A phenomenon that caused the recording of pictures, taken with any option other than Off selected for Date imprint, to take a considerable amount of time has been corrected.
  • Errors in Korean menus have been corrected.
  • Errors in Spanish, French, and Italian text have been corrected.
