Pentax software v2.1 for Photo Browser and Photo Laboratory Updater

Pentax has launched version 2.1 of Pentax Photo Browser and Photo Laboratory Updater software which improves usability for *istD and *istDS owners. New and improved points in the Photo Browser software for the *istD include changes to print function, the ability to view next and previous images in the main image window as well as a search function. Photo Laboratory 2.1 allows you to change the size of the preview window, something which was criticized in our review of the *istD software. For *istDS users the software allows thumbnails to be displayed quicker and improves the image quality of RAW-processed files, amongst other changes.

Pentax Photo Browser and Photo Laboratory Updater software 2.10

PENTAX wishes to announce the release of the Updater for update the PENTAX PHOTO Browser and PENTAX PHOTO Laboratory for version 2.10.

This Updater will support the *istD user to be able to use the current software (2.0) that attached with *istDS camera, and even improved some function of current software.

For the correct update, you are required to have installed previous version of PENTAX PHOTO Browser, PENTAX PHOTO Laboratory (1.0, 1.10, 1.11 or 2.0) on your PC.

Please download the Updater file on your PC first, and update it.

Changed and added points of update version 2.10 from previous version (1.0, 1.10 or 1.11) for *istD user.

• Print function
• Next or previous image are viewable at the Main Image Window
• “Right click menu” is available on the thumbnail image
• Searching function
• HELP function, and so on

• The size of the Preview Window is changeable
• Improved the speed of processing
• Compress ratio of JPEG is changeable
• Fine adjustment of color temperature is available
• HELP function, and so on

• The thumbnail image is displayed quicker than before
• Deleted the branch line from the tree view
• Even the thumbnail image has a check mark with it, it will not be displayed when other images are selected to display on the main frame

• Improved image quality at the processing RAW image procedure.
• In the Histogram view, non prior items are also viewable by colored outline.
• Improved the transaction efficiency when multiple RAW files are processing.
