Canon posts EOS-1Ds Mark II firmware 1.0.3

Canon BeBit has posted firmware version 1.0.3 for the EOS-1Ds Mark II which improves AF tracking in AI Servo AF and reduces noise when shooting bulb exposures as well as color differences between RAW and JPEG thumbnail images. This firmware applies to cameras which already have the 1.0.2 update installed.

What has changed in the version 1.0.3 firmware?
- Improvements to AF tracking in AI Servo AF
Improves the AF tracking when using the AI Servo AF to shoot low-luminance or low-contrast subjects.
- Reduced noise when shooting bulb exposures
Reduces the color differences between RAW and JPEG thumbnail images when viewing thumbnails in the bundled RAW-image development application Digital Photo Professional.
Note: The color of thumbnail images may differ somewhat even with the Version 1.0.3 firmware, depending on the scenes being shot. If this is a concern, please try Digital Photo Professional's Save Thumbnail function, which can be found in the File menu.
