Europe has today posted firmware Version 1.8 for the Coolpix 5000. This
firmware update offers following improvements and additions, when the
camera is turned on and off after selecting ON in the Fixed Aperture from
Zoom Options in SET-UP 1 menu. When the camera is used in Manual exposure
mode, the incorrect aperture information is displayed. This has now been
corrected. As usual please read carefully the firmware installation information
before installing the firmware update!
