Press Release:
The European Imaging & Sound Association (EISA) has named the EXILIM EX-Z3 from Casio as Digital Mini Camera of the year 2003 / 2004 at the IFA fair in Berlin. Devices from five categories including photo, audio and mobile electronics compete every year, all representing cutting edge technology and excellence in design.
Each year, EISA member magazines come together to discuss the products introduced during the preceding twelve months and panels choose the best equipment in each category. This year's main photo category attraction was the EXILIM EX-Z3.
Defying the petite size of the camera, the EX-Z3 is the first EXILIM model to feature an in-built, high-performance 3x optical zoom lens; in addition to a 4x digital zoom. It features Casio's own digital interface for clearer display images, with a large 2.0" TFT LCD that can be used both as a viewfinder for composing images, as well as for viewing images instantly. The ability to integrate short movies with sound has also been incorporated into the EX-Z3 and users can now record up to 30-second clips of video with accompanying sound.
"To receive an award from such a well respected organisation as
EISA is not only an honour, but an endorsement of EXILIM's prime design
criteria of the latest in digital technology and style married to ease
of use," commented David Hodgkinson, Manager Channel Marketing, Casio
Electronics Co. Ltd.
