PMA 2003: Olympus has today announced the D-560 Zoom (C-350 Zoom in Europe) digital camera. The competitively priced D-560 / C-350 offers a three megapixel sensor and three times optical zoom, as we would expect it stores its images on xD-Picture Card and is powered by AA batteries. This new camera is smaller than the D-550 it replaces and also features a new easier to use menu system. Price: $299 (US street) / £249 (UK RRP).

Olympus announces the launch of its latest digital camera, the C-350 Zoom. Just the thing for those who want to expand their digital photography skills, this 3.2 million pixel digital camera is available from April with a RRP of £249.99 (inc VAT). Following in the footsteps of the C-300 Zoom, the new C-350 Zoom features a redesigned body that is smaller and slicker than the current model. With a bright lens (f3.1 - f5.2), 3x optical zoom, a 3x digital zoom and a host of automatic features, the C-350 Zoom will produce stunning prints up to A3.

The combined power of the optical and digital zoom gives you a 9x zoom (equivalent of 35 - 105mm on 35mm camera) which is great for getting up close and personal to your subjects. Combined with the introduction of a large 1.8" display, capturing your digital moments is now even easier.

For the intermediate user looking for more than just a point-and-shoot digital camera, the C-350 Zoom offers plenty of options for creativity. Users can choose from four scene programs (portrait, self-portrait, landscape and night scene), white balance, macro mode, a panorama mode, 2 in 1 shooting, Black & White or Sepia modes and the ability to record short movie sequences in QuickTime Motion JPEG format.

The C-350 Zoom comes with 16Mb xD-Picture Card (giving you 165 images in low quality mode) and supports the new EXIF 2.2 standard as well as PIM II, enabling compatible printers to apply the saved data to produce optimised image printouts.
