Press release:
CeBit 2001, Hanover, March 22nd, 2001 With the FinePix 6900 Zoom Fuji Photo Film (Europe) GmbH presents a new camera for the top consumer market segment, a camera which also fulfils the demands of professional photographers. The FinePix 6900 Zoom is based on the market success of the FinePix 4900 Zoom: It is also equipped with a 6-fold optical zoom, however, has an even larger potential due to the new 3.3 million pixel Super CCD.
Top features of the extraordinary class
The equipment of the FinePix 6900 Zoom promises absolutely sharp and brilliant photos with vivid colours. The Super EBC Fujinon lens with the 6-fold optical zoom, the electronic 0.55 inch viewfinder with 110,000 picture elements and the flash-shoe for the connection of an external flash belong to the top features of the FinePix 6900 Zoom. Certainly a variety of manual selections regarding shutter times, focus and even two setting for customer-specific white-balance will cause some photographers hearts to beat faster.
Newly developed 3.3 million pixel Super CCD creates new standards
In addition to the other features there is the new 3.3 million pixel Super CCD, which may produce output files of a maximum of 6.0 million pixel. This corresponds to a resolution of 2,832 x 2,128 pixel.
The highlights of the FinePix 6900 Zoom include the video function in the AVI mode of 320 x 240 pixel. The maximum recording time amounts to 160 seconds per clip. Design-oriented buyers will apart from that be fascinated by the futuristic design of the FinePix 6900 Zoom and the housing made of a magnesium alloy. This design considers a special ergonomic arrangement of the operating elements.
The product introduction of the FinePix 6900 Zoom in Germany is planned for June 2001. The price is not yet published.
