Minolta post new DiMAGE 7 firmware
Minolta US has today posted A1v121u English firmware for the DiMAGE 7 digital camera. This new firmware has been available on the Minolta Japan server for a few days and is now available on the Minolta US server. This version is for US DiMAGE 7's only. The installation documents say "Firmware version A1v121u was developed for general improvement in exposure performance (particularly for flash photography)." It's also worth noting that Minolta has also posted a new version of the DiMAGE Image Viewer Utility (required for proper colour space mapping).
Please note that this version is intended for US DiMAGE 7's only, the 'u' suffix on the firmware indicates the region. An 'e' (Europe) version for Europe, SE Asia and Australia is not yet available.
How to check your firmware version
- Set the main switch/mode dial of the camera to the setup position.
- Press the digital-subject-program button.
- Check the number displayed in the LCD monitor display of the camera.
- roducts with version numbers other than A1v121u are eligible for a firmware upgrade
