Well,
I'm wearing a smile. Yahoo! Internet Life magazine, May 2001 has reviewed
various sites dedicated to photography, and we've been given the gold
star award as "Best Digital Camera Reviews" site, to quote,
"If Dickens had written digicam reviews, they'd
probably have looked like these long. But there's good reason for
the length: This site posts the Web's most exhaustive hands-on analysis.
No feature is too small". Other winners include Ofoto for
Best Overall Photo Site / Digital Print and Steves-Digicams for digital
camera news.
Here's the full quote:
If Dickens had written digicam reviews, they'd probably have looked like these long. But there's good reason for the length: This site posts the Web's most exhaustive hands-on analysis. No feature is too small; even camera packaging is critiqued. Each review is supplemented with dozens of illustrations, showing you every button, gauge, and menu. There are sample photos, too, so once you see what the camera looks like, you can see how it performs. Charts show you all available file formats and resolutions and tell you how many pictures you can fit on the supplied memory card. You can compare multiple models side by side, read user comments, and even input your requirements (price, resolution, weight) to let the site suggest some picks.

Kudos to the winners, especially Ofoto for bagging two! And a big pat on the back to Steve Sanders for getting the Best Digital Camera News award.
