PhotoLoft, one of the many online photo services companies, have announced that they are to move to a subscription based service. They say that this is because they wish to offer an "enhanced feature set", or may it be they are feeling the pinch from the astronomical bandwidth costs associated with this market sector. Could this be the beginning of the end, for free online photo sharing ?
In order to provide better service and an expanded feature set, PhotoLoft now requires a membership fee. The following chart describes our fee structure.
If you already belong to PhotoLoft and have uploaded photos in the past, your photos will still be available for viewing and sharing on the PhotoLoft site, however, you will not be able to upload any new photos until you have selected one of the membership options below.
