HP announce new printers and cameras

HP announce eight new printers, eight new scanners and two digital cameras.

Printers: PhotoSmart P1000, P1100, P1100xi, Deskjet 970Cse, 970Cxi, Deskjet 830C and Deskjet 832C. Scanners: ScanJet 3300C, 6300C, 6350C and ScanJet 6390C. Cameras: Photosmart C500 (2 megapixel CCD, 3x zoom) and C200 (1 megapixel CCD, no optical zoom).

As we're homing in on the digital cameras on this site, here's the low down on the C500 & C200:

On the printer side of things interestingly the PhotoSmart P1000 (et al.) is a 2400 x 1200 dpi colour printer using PhotoRet III, has a 4x6" photo tray and can print direct from HP PhotoSmart digital cameras which have the JetSend Infrared technology or from other cameras because they accept CompactFlash (type I & II) and SmartMedia.
