Sony have posted another picture of their upcoming 2.1 megapixel, Swivelling 5x Carl Zeiss zoom lens, MemoryStick storage digicam. Now we can see its size, in this picture the user is holding it with the lens swivelled 90 degrees upwards, looking DOWN onto the LCD. This picture also seems to reveal that the object on top of the lens is a pop-up flash (see the hinge).

Specifications So Far
This from a poster on rec.photo.digital:
From: Stephen Giannoni Subject: New Sony CyberShot in My Hands ! As a result of a unique circumstance, today I actually had one of these functioning beauties to play with for about 10 minutes, and it was VERY hard to hand it back. Hope it becomes available soon commercially. I am not at liberty to disclose the circumstance of my good fortune, except to assure all that it was completely legal and ethical. Other than that, I can only say that the LCD screen was bright and superb to the point of easily being able to manually focus, the 5x optical zoom was incredible, and it has USB connectivity. I didn't notice an optical viewfinder (actually didn't think to look for it being so transfixed with the LCD) or storage other than for the memory stick, but I may have missed these in my excitement. The whole beautiful package was much smaller and lighter than I had envisaged from the teaser shots from Sony and their previous digicams. Just a gut feeling, but I think this'll be a big winner!
Interesting Digital Camera? Yes, I think so. Especially if the CCD / Lens assembly is good enough to produce quality images. The swivel lens assembly means you can always keep the LCD in good view when taking at odd angles (note that 90 degree vertical means) you can take those low down / waist height shots and look down onto the LCD... wonder where they got that idea from..
