Canon BeBit has discovered an incompatibility when using File Viewer Utility to convert RAW format images shot in Custom White Balance mode with the Canon PowerShot G3/ PowerShot S45. An update patch will be made available shortly, until then workarounds are available.

Description of the problem

Accurate color reproduction cannot be obtained when converting RAW images shot with the PowerShot G3 or S45 in Custom White Balance mode, using the bundled software File Viewer Utility (Windows® / Macintosh).
Please Note: RAW format images shot with these cameras using White Balance settings other than Custom White Balance can be processed normally. Also, images shot as in-camera JPEGs with these cameras using Custom White Balance or any other White Balance mode are recorded properly.
