Matsushita (Panasonic) has today announced new 1900 mAh AA NiMH rechargeable batteries. Up until this point the maximum capacity of NiMH AA available was around 1800 mAh. Interestingly the batteries are labelled as '2000' but Panasonic claim a minimum capacity of 1900 mAh. This makes sense considering that in our own (and others) testing it's clear that the actual usable capacity of these batteries tends to be less than indicated.
