Minolta US has today confirmed that the DiMAGE E201 will be released
in America at a price of $299. This entry level digital camera has a fixed
focal length lens (38 mm equiv.) and 2.3 megapixel CCD features a movie
clip mode and has CompactFlash storage (Type I only). The E201 was initially
announced back in May this year but at that time wasn't at that time destined
for the US market.

digital camera line-up into the popular-price segment with the introduction
of the new Minolta DiMAGE E201, a superb quality entry-level model based
on the highly-regarded DiMAGE 2300. While retaining the ease-of-use and

recording feature, a responsive new microprocessor, and simplified computer
