Since the EXIF data is different, I think that proves they *were* two different exposures. Duh! Besides, they look different. ;-)

You should prolly have stopped there? I came to a different conclusion for the same reason...just said, "/Probably, but it would be a bit large./" and nobody attacked me.

Are you sure? The D300 has an intervalometer. I read one review that said the D300s had it too. Perhaps it's just sloppy reporting?

I forgot to mention that it was done hand-held...I was squatting down on a rock (so that I didn't fall down to the river as I used the VF to be sure to get overlap in each frame).
