If you can afford the camera, you can afford the most stable mount available. As for static scenes, shooting fine art as mentioned above, is a prime subject.

I was wondering if this could be implemented in less expensive cameras via software or in post-processing. Obviously, it's not something I've looked into, but the idea is intriguing.
