I've got a NEC Multiync 24WMGX3 and it is a very, very good all rounder. Loads of connectivity, excellent colour when calibrated and a pretty good games screen too!
The only downside is the price....

I can't believe it would be anything like bright enough for stills work, with the possible exception of macro (lens in the way?).
