I think it would be better if Titles to threads went fully on the first row no matter how wide the format needs to be
hectorpatrick: Except if you try using the Export>JPEG Optimiser, which causes the programme to freeze, at least on a 32 bit Win 7 quad core machine. So far, Corel's support suggestions have failed to produce a successful result. This is the first time I've had this problem, having use PSP8 onwards over the years.
have you taken that issue up with Corel forums?http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewforum.php?f=56
Confused of Malvern: Ok, at the risk of sounding stupid......what's an avatar and who was Gravatar?
.....either that or it just plain sux :)
WordsOfFarewell: Well let's hope the direction the company goes won't change to much from serious photography to more of those colorful amateur stuff. I guess I'll still have to wait some years until they release a Full Frame for professionals instead of mirrorless and weird colorschemes. Somehow I don't like the recent direction at all despite the brilliant technical specs of my K20D or my K5.
FulviaZagato: Would it be physically possible for an aftermarket company to make adaptors to fit the SD-1 body at one end and Canon or Nikon lenses at the other?
Would it be legal?
this isnt possible as an adapter would increase the lens register, the distance between the mount and the sensor which is identical to EOS mount.
But it is possible to use an EOS mount off a Canon camera and rewire the connections, this has already been done before.
Peter A Sellar: Canon/Nikon mount would be fantastic!
it is possible to fit an EOS mount and rewire the body to lens connection pins. As I recall it you dont get fully functional AF, I think it lacks provision for OIS or something. You could check this out in more detail over at the Sigma forum.
you can compare the Sigma mount herehttp://a.img-dpreview.com/previews/sigmasd1/images/dust.jpg;
Marty4650: This camera would be overpriced at $1,000.
The Foveon fans should be pretty upset about how they were ripped off by Sigma. And giving them "frequent flyer miles" might not be the best way to make up for this obvious price gouging.
Imagine how you would feel if you bought a car for $40,000 and nine months later the manufacturer decided to drop the price to $12,000? And then offered you some free floor mats to make you feel better....
what kind of floormats are they 8)

i hope it works better than it looksbut it looks like it was made by Lego ...
Jens_G: Aimed squarely at hipsters and fashionistas
the whole concept of 'whistleblower' is very unpopular in Japan, not only that he was never the right guy for the task of putting Olympus together again. It seems his personal investment to lead Olympus has failed.
That said a question remains about the Olympus management installed, for if they think they can roll along in the same old way, I fear they are much mistaken... At least Woodford would have offered a point of difference and been an advocate for change where change it seems is much needed.
the existing Oloneo Photoengine is great, and includes the HDR bit they are now offering as a standalone. It really is fast to use, and results are seen realtime, unlike say Photomatix. It is compatible with most RAWs and makes a good RAW converter on its own, and file transfer to your image editing software can be directly linked
Pangloss: There are many issues at this moment with Olympus:1) Nobody knows how much the company is worth, since its accounting has been compromised over the last 20 years(!).2) Investors have lost confidence and employee morale is probably pretty low.3) Mr. Woodford should quickly be reinstated as CEO and President and be allowed to form a new management team.4) The company *urgently* needs to complete its financial accounts review in time to submit to the Tokyo Stock Exchange to avoid delisting (by Dec. 14).The 92-year old company is in E.R. at this stage and unless they act very fast, it could disappear in the short term.
'I think it possible that the cameras division could be disposed of 'for the greater good'.'
problem is, so sold to whom ?
has anyone checked to see if this guy wears his underwear on the outside?
lets hope this upgrade not only resolves some bugs, which appear to trouble people only variously, but improves the security side which affects everyone daily.
now about that pint ....
cameras seem to get bigger and bigger all the time
RaptorUK: Can I create an article about how DPReview refuses to enforce it's own published rules ?
Images of children - We absolutely do not allow any nude / semi-nude / voyeuristic pictures of children or links to such galleries
You must only submit images that are safe for general public viewing, e.g. no nudity.
How do these rules allow this Challenge and it's Entries to remain: http://www.dpreview.com/challenges/Challenge.aspx?ID=5270
LOL i dont believe it, he's even from Birmingham ;)
zoomring: I have a great idea for DPREVIEW ! Why don't you HIRE and PAY professional writers, instead of asking for FREE intellectual property? AMAZON makes Billions of dollars in profits, correct?
What's next? you're going to ask for free photos? free song lyrics? free movie scripts?
