Replied in Lumix G Vario 7-14mm - De-centered Elements ?
misaligned, not perpendicular
therefore gives consistent weakness in the same part of the image

Replied in Lumix G Vario 7-14mm - De-centered Elements ?
yes
at this aperture this lens resolves the highest MTF score, I have the same experience with my Zuikos, 7-14, 9-18, and 11-22, peak sharpness is f/4.5
you are attempting to demonstrate the...

Replied in Lumix G Vario 7-14mm - De-centered Elements ?
SLR mirrorboxes usually have more interferance appendages within the box on one side than the other, more often than not a lens that is weak in resolving its edges will be failing on the right hand...
-

if anything you ought be trying to maximise the problem not minimise it. Shooting at f/4 is therefore the right thing to do as the edges will be...

Replied in You mean right now?

Replied in Looking at OM D E M5 : a question on MF assist
yes thats the whole thing
vision from either the LCD or EVF is the same 'view'
you can either user select which you use, or the EVF turns on (and consequently the LCD turns off) as you present...
-
Replied in Looking at OM D E M5 : a question on MF assist
yes that works just fine, actually better than most SLRs
even with 4/3rds lenses where focus is critical, MF has its benefits. In the case of lenses that have AF function used in MF such as...

eq 50mm f/1

Konica 57/1.2 at f/2, but this is a single...

Replied in The death of APS-C
nothing will kill APSC anytime soon.
Even though APSC users account for a good proportion of FF lenses, FF only account for 1 in 5 of all lenses sold, and camera volume is more like a dozen...
