Congratulations on your 1st place finish, great detail & colors.
Wonderful photo & deserved winner of this challenge, congrHATulations.
For what its worth I really like the colors, composition & simplicity of this photo & thought it would have placed higher in the challenge.
I dont understand how this beautiful photo finished in 25th place?
I know your the host & this cant be voted on but great photo.
Wonderful photo, I thought it would/should have placed higher.
BYRON MCD 77-81: Call it sour grapes if you want, but close up pictures of flowers/petals, a subject that anyone with a cheap compact with macro capability could do - the sort of pics teens or younger kids like to take, do very well in these challenges ! Photography - wise, not very challenging for supposedly skilled individuals with relatively expensive gear. Seems like an immature approach for a keen photographer who can't find anything else to shoot. Not very adventurous, is it ? I often wish that hosts would ask participants not to take flower petals, stalks and suchlike. And all this coming from someone who absolutely loves: flowers, plants, babies and kittens.
Fair point but everyone likes different things & the voters decide, personally I dont like loads of photos of doe eyed young kids but I would never ask that they be excluded from challenges.
I love this photo, unusual composition, exposure, angles & colors but I think it works really well.
I really like this photo, to me it looks like a child blowing a kiss to the moon.
One of my favorite entries (mind you I am a big softie!), with the photo & the story, he is a very lucky dog to have such a caring owner, thanks for entering the challenge.
