Relax guys OP is using the OVF which was always slower even on the x100.With the evf or rear screen it's much much faster than the x100 which was firmly in the "frustrating" category for me.It's...

Thanks guys, gives me a good indication. My subject are usually people, by low light i mean around ISO1600-3200 f2- 1/30-1/60 sort of light. As you guys know even on faces with fairly high contrast...

I has no problem with the x100's AF speed in good to ok light. It's when the light dims a bit and my ISO reaches 1600+ that the camera really frustrates me. It would take 2+ seconds to attempt focus...

They might not even do that. Not sure where, but one of the interviews state that it wasn't something they were planning to do again
-
The fujis are the first cam where I've noticed a huge difference in speed from SD card.Buy the best you can get, I'd personally get a UHS-I card if you can afford it
-
With a bayonet or screw mount? I'm in Singapore atm and if it's bayonet mount I'd definitely look for it!
-
Much like the x100's jjc, the price will come down a lot to $30 or so.$5 eBay ones will follow suit soon too.Great news for RX1 owners!
-
Obviously the much larger sensor will give you shallower DOF (you'd need another lens to take full advantage of it)However, the lens on the RX100 is magnificently sharp. Certainly sharper than the...
-
Because fixed lens is strictly for enthusiasts.$500 for a compact with a small sensor isn't going to sell well is it?
-
It is, it was on the x100 as well.Much like any other mirrorless other than the nikon 1 series, it barely works
-
For some reason it's pretty terrible on the RX1, I just focus on the eyes and recompose.Just about every other camera out there has better face detection. To be fair though I've never tried it with...
-
The RX1 flash is nowhere near as good as the X100's IMO. Used it twice with bad result and now it stays in unless it's total darkness. The X100 perhaps has more natural skin tones but the RX1's...
-
You got that the wrong way around bud, the new cams are the problematic ones
-
Don't have an X-E1 but the RX1 and X100 are about equal in good light, pretty good.As soon as the light dims the X100 struggles a lot more, especially coupled with the finicky macro mode's distance...

http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/sony_cybershot_dsc_rx1_review/Just the usual: fantastic IQ but slightly slow AF, no viewfinder and its darn expensive if you want one
-
The J1 or V1 are great choices for the money atm.they received lots of flak initially due to high cost but IMO they have great IQ and are a pleasure to use! Also the only non-slr where tracking...

Nope, but the ones that come with the 24mm Zeiss can be reversed!
-
The RX1 is my only camera atm and I'm considering getting a 12-50 OM-D kit for everything else.Currently on holiday whilst the RX1 gives unbelievable IQ there are things holding it back such as...

I would at least wait for CP+, only a week away!Something might get that you're interested in. If you're not interested in the new stuff, the old stuff will drop in price, so win-win!
