Image looks brighter with the modified sensor even though the settings are the same.

That doesn't bode well...
That's bad news for me. Looks like I'm gong to sell off my X10 soon but will see how much improvement the new firmware makes. Though I'm not hopeful because with RAW files the problem can still be seen. I guess what Fuji is going to do is tweaking the in camera RAW conversion to avoid enhancing the problem.
