Hey Jim, I followed your posts on this and other forums when you switched over from Canon. That and the good reviews of the K-5 convinced me to go with Pentax.
Definitely a good idea to be...

To the contrary, I find that this bags very plain and unassuming appearance is a safety feature. It doesn't have an obtrusive logo and doesn't advertise that you've got a bunch of camera equipment...

Shawn, thanks for a pretty good review. I've used this bag almost everyday for about 2 years. A couple of points I would like to add. The rain cover is attached to the bag by piece of webbing...

Geez Louise, what's up with the hissy fit Jeff? I didn't realize this is what I signed up for when I bought a Pentax/K-mount camera. It actually makes me not want to be own a Pentax, for crying out...

Like this a lot. I didn't realize you could usefully use such a small aperture. Did you use off camera lighting? I notice you kept the ISO nice and low.

So, this is basically the X-mount version of the K-01, if it's for real. More conservative in design, but the shape of the hand grip, non-black colour options and textures are very reminiscent of...

I bought the same lens a couple years ago, tho not from Henry's. it should have come with that signature pain-in-the-butt end cap from Sigma, not whatever you got. I'd take it back ASAP....

Hello Leo et al. These beauties are called night-blooming cereus -- you've got to stay up to about midnight to see them in full bloom and they only last one night. These were shot with the 35 Ltd....

Hi Betty. Thanks for starting this thread, surely there will be others in a similar situation who can draw upon your experience. It never hurts to take a stand on one's principles, so good for you...

That's a nice turn of phrase Alan. Was that used in an ad somewhere? If not, Pentax marketing people (one of the rarest things to see in the wild or on the forum) might pick up on this. I could...

Don't feel too badly. I lived there for 5 years and didn't know about it either.
Younes, is this at the botanical garden? You've done a great job capturing these.

marike6, yeah, I don't get the indifference or that this is somehow just any old photographic subject. There are people alive today who lived through a period in the U.S. when lynching was not...

theswede, your rationalizations/justifications for this why this item about the Klan is journalistically/socially relevant are quite a stretch. You suggest that people looking down on them from a...

What would anyone of your say if someone posted this series on one of the forums? Nice captures? Good lighting? Isn't this what people talk about when they refer to the banality of evil? I don't...

What is the point of photojournalism, or journalism for that matter? I just don't get the point of this photo essay. At best, it is vacuous and states a very silly truism -- gaining trust of one's...

How about I say that you sound morbidly optimistic. Slightly better than those who seems obsessed that any minute now, Pentax will be no more. I just don't get why people want to torture themselves...

Steelski, I'm not a wedding photographer and I've not shot with the K-5, but if I were in your position, my choice would decisively be the K-5ii over the K-5, no contest. The K-5 is unremarkable...
